SHADAIR HQ: Major Gina DeAngelo, Commanding

History of S.H.A.D.O.
In 1970, indisputable proof was uncovered that aliens were visiting Earth and abducting and mutilating Humans. An organisation was begun to battle the threat - funded by the United Nations, but kept strictly secret to avoid public panic, S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters, Alien Defence Organisation) took 10 years to build.

This was the premise of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Television series "UFO."

The year is 1980 and SHADO is Commanded by Commander Ed Straker - former USAF Colonel, now under cover as a London film producer. (SHADO HQ is hidden underground beneath Harlington-Straker Film Studio).

SHADAIR
A few years ago, I wrote a couple fan-fiction stories that involve a character of my own creation named Major Gina DeAngelo. She is a no-nonsense USMC officer -- top test pilot, flight instructor and Aerospace Engineer -- also gifted with Total Recall. Well, of course, she is recruited into SHADO and into Straker's life as no other woman has been before.

Thus, I am dedicating this page to the top pilots of SHADO -- to that branch of SHADO refered to as "SHADAIR" . . .

So I will try to add photos and descriptions of the various SHADO pilots here:

  • Button Colonel Alec Freeman.
