Eventually, I'll get around to reviewing these and when I do, there will probably be plenty of spoilers. Cover Images on the left are scans of my own copies. On the right are smaller images of alternate covers, most of which were found HERE. |
| Why the map of Britain as a background? Because Britain in general and East Anglia in particular becomes a character unto itself in these books. Gash makes the place come alive - you almost feel as if you've been there. |

Ian McShane brought Lovejoy to the screen and it was a great show that ran for six seasons. The TV Lovejoy was more lighthearted - he tended not to kill people, for one. And while he had an eye for the ladies, he wasn't quite the cad the book Lovejoy is. He also had a friendly ex-wife (whom he did not kill) and a daughter as well as a friend with the Police. And, of course, Tinker was no where near as disgusting as he is in the books - can you imagine bringing book Tink to life, phlegm and all? (shudder) The series is available on DVD, go check it out.
